I have an '82 300TDT. Looking at the starter and block it seems like there is a good chance that it originally came with a bracket that bolted between the starter and the engine block. If so, then my bracket is absent. Did it come with a bracket? Could anyone post a picture? Does anyone have an extra bracket? Please PM me if so. Thanks.

Most of the brackets have been discarded over the years.....

**BTW, I may have a bracket somewhere, and I'm certainly never putting it back on any of my cars......

You should have a bracket there. I don't have one, but I'm sure someone here does.

That bracket is a PIA to deal with so I can see why a mechanic would not reinstall it (not as bad as the one on the back of the IP tho) I would make sure I had one on any of my cars however.

Could anyone snap a picture? Does it bolt to the two 10mm studs on the back of the starter? I can fab one up very easily, but just want to make sure I'm on the right page.
