Hey, all. I thought I would boost my morale by tackling something easy. Oh well...

My wagon's hatch closes and latches fine enough to close and lock but apparently not enough to turn the dome light off. I've had the latch out and everything with the switch seems fine--open latch=closed circuit, double-clicked closed latch=open circuit. perfect! but the problem is that when i close my hatch, the latch on the door only clicks on once--it doesn't click that second time so as to completely surround the bar latch on the car body.

Is this adjustable? Am I understanding the problem correctly? Thanks in advance!
