Just rode in a 1995 E320 Wagon... The rear end is too floaty for my likes....

And I am not worried about screwing up my ride... I got 17 inch Lorinser Rims on it... I can already feel all the little bumps.

Have you inspected all the rubber bits in the rear suspension? Have you considered upgrading all the rear suspension bits (minus springs and hydraulic struts) with Sportline equipment?

I don't believe that the SLS is having any negative effect on the lateral stability, but there are plenty of other rear suspension components that could.

Anecdotal evidence: Met a fellow who likes to autocross his MB; when he was "learning the ropes" at an event years ago, he did a few laps with a fellow in an MB diesel wagon (124 series). That diesel wagon (with SLS) had among the fastest lap times because it cornered so well and at such high speeds. Many gasser drivers with 2x or more horsepower were dumbfounded...

You know why he took a ride with that particular guy? Probably because his fellow participants knew him to be one of the best drivers there and suggested that he was the one to ride with to "show how it's done right." The fact he was driving a diesel W124 wagon is a red herring and doesn't prove anything about SLS, IMO.

I have 500E Bars on the back and front of the wagon... Still rolls through corners. Ive got all new rubber components underneath my car, and it still rolls through corners.

I want airshocks so that I can raise it if I need to, or lower if I need to....

Im not saying that it will take out any bumps.... I already got Lorinser Rims on my car with low profile tires that do a good job of letting me know what the road surface looks like...

GREASY_BEAST, I plan on taking pictures, and doing a writeup...

If that's what you want why don't you just convert your sls valve to manual control?

SLS valve is already manaul control. Lengthen the linkage to raise, shorten the linkage to lower... the best part is that when you add weight you don't have to worry about fiddling with the adjustment because it does that part for you.

BTW don't do any of that lengthening or shortening if you don't have some means of keeping the car from crushing you.

W123 SLS line help needed to identify and replace

Hi-
I've done a search, but I can't seem to find a clear enough diagram that indicates what SLS lines go to what, to and from the valve in the back.

The higher of the two lower lines indicated as supply and return in this picture broke just at the nut point. Which is this? Supply or Return?

What is involved in replacing this line?
Where can I get one or have it made?
