1981 300GD Ooh La La

man, is it pricey... Beginnings of rust, too. But you can't help but drool. Kerry, I know your're in Denver, are you tempted?

Oooh, that is nice. Much nicer than this one:

The only drawback is the NA. At this altitude, the turbo is a huge plus.

Very nice. Wonder how hard it would be to swap in a turbo intake and etc...

however long it takes to do a complete engine swap. can't just swap in a turbo and intake...everything changes.

question is, how will transmission, et. al. take to the extra umph of a turbo'd 617.

Why would someone go to all the trouble and expense of bringing it to the US then selling it?

Because they hadn't given enough thought to 4 wheeling at 10,000ft without a turbo.

Yeah, prolly so.

5280 is high enough to need a turbo.
You gonna go look at it?

No, I'm really on the hunt for a 4wd around the world motorhome so it's too small.

I'd consider it if it came with a smaller dog. Small dogs get better fuel economy.

Those are mid-80s OEM G-wagen alloys that somebody has painted black. The spare mounted on the back is the steel G wheel that was original for this model (the alloy wheel wouldn't fit on the carrier).
