SLS Suspension Help!
Hello... I need some opinions here.
I have a 1985 300TD and I have clunking in the rear end. This is especially true at low speeds and over small (but sharp) bumps i.e., just a rough road. Truly annoying! I have replaced the sway bar links. The SLS works perfectly. No leaks in the struts. The other day I had about 500 lbs in the back... and, NO CLUNKING. What the heck is going on? Accumulators? Bushings? I am at a loss. Thank you, Dennis

If you already replaced the sway bar links, I would take a look at the subframe bushings. You can get a knock on bumps if they are worn and a heavy load would probably keep it from knocking.
