Question Finale Decided To Sell 300ce Kept 300cdt

AFTER A YEAR OR SO I FIGURED I DID NOT REALLY NEED 2, SO AFTER 10 YRS I LET THE CE GO.MUST SAY A VERY NICE CAR, BUT AFTER BUYING MY 83 CD (RUST FREE CA CAR) ABOUT 4YRS AGO I FIGURED I COULD DEVOTE ALL MY ATTENTION & $$ TO SMOKEY, WHAT A WONDERFUL CAR!! LOVE THAT DIESEL SOUND & TORQUE. ACTUALLY PREFER DRIVING THE CD, I THINK THE SEATS ARE MORE COMFORTABLE (FOR MYSELF ANYWAY) THAN THE 124 COUPE. THINK THE CD IS EASIER TO DRIVE, STEERING SEEMS SO EASIER. I KNOW THE 124 IS MORE REFINED, & MORE CREATURE COMFORTS ETC, JUST LIKE THE OLD STYLING OF THE OLD CAR. DON'T MEAN TO TICK OFF ANY GASSER'S, (THAT'S WHY I POSTED ON THE DIESEL SITE).
ONE THING MAYBE SOME OTHER CD OWNERS CAN ANSWER IS, I REPLACED ALL THE SEAL ON THE SIDE WINDOWS & SUNROOF WITH OEM MERCE. PARTS BIG $$, BUT STILL GET SOME SLIGHT NOISE WHERE THE DOOR GLASS MEETS THE QUARTER WINDOWS ETC ON TOP. ( I DO MISS THE AIR TIGHTNESS OF THE 124 THOUGH), IS THIS TIPICAL?. I KNOW ONE CAN ADUST THE GLASS BUT IS A ^&$%$@$#@ TO GET PERFECT. ALSO HAVE TO DROP THE GLASS ABOUT A1/4" TO SHUT THE DOORS THEN CLOSE THE GLASS ONCE INSIDE, THE GLASS TENDS TO STICK OUT OVER THE RUBBER AT TOP. ANYWAY WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP WITH THIS, OTHER THAN THIS, ITS THE ONLY COMPLAINT TOWARDS THE 123 COUPE AWSOME CAR!! SORRY FOR THE EXTREME LONG POST,

One solution would be to eliminate the CAPS and go for a standard format

Shouting When Mad

MAYBE HE IS MAD!!!

Seriously, post pics of your 300CD, or at least put it in your signature so we can see it.

No worries man - nobody is offended, it's just tough to read

Congrats on your switch - it sounds like you are happy with it - short of the glass/seal issues.

Personally, I've always wanted a CD too - and that's why all of us beg for pics because we like to live vicariously through you

For a better answer from CD owners, I'd suggest starting a new thread in diesel discussion (in lowercase)....titled with your specific issue and car....

To edit your signature - simply click on the "quick links" in the upper right corner (if you are logged in) and click on "edit signature" in the drop-down menu. Most of us put our year/model/mileage for ease in answering questions.

I see you've been here for awhile....but congrats again on the CD...

Smile similar problem

Are your doors straight?

Both of my doors look to have a history of being bent at some point, causing difficulty shutting doors, and the wind noise comes in from where the glass hits the frame of the body.

It is the burden of us coupe owners right....

Those damn jacknife doors....
