Thanks Terry... clears up the extra O-ring mystery.

One final question...

I looked at the http://www.fryerpower.com/store/page11.html page and am seeing viton kits. The listing is for 606.962 engines. I believe mine is a 606.912. Are the parts interchangeable with the 912? I am looking at the
Viton 606.962 Fuel line and Shut off valve o-ring kit
I'm guessing this should have more than I need to fix this pesky leak?

Thanks,

-l-

To the best of my knowledge the counts are appreciably the same. I KNOW the sizes are identical.

Lance - a wise move on your part to replace all those O rings with viton while you have the manifold off. Do it once and be done with it for awhile.

Welp... got the new seals installed and I don't seem to have leakage (at this point.) I ran the car for 5 minutes (once I finally got it to start!) without the intake manifold on, then examined the shutoff module and all the lines at which I had replaced seals... no leak. The O-ring that came off the shutoff valve had a rectangular (rather than round) cross-section. I don't know if this is from compression, or if the original O-ring was of a different shape. All I know is it seems to be sealing.

Thanks all for your input on this problem!

All the seals fit so tightly that they elongate over time; they all started out being round profiles.
