95 e300D Heater Control Valve and Pump

Last year I replaced the heater control valve/pump assembly at the cost of $481 for the part. The old one's valve body was leaking/weeping from stress cracks in the valve body. Now the new one is doing the same. No mechanical stress or overheating. Looks like the valve body is made from compressed soybeans. Anyone have a fix for this; must be a common problem. J
