Right Instument Cluster???

I know that this is an older version of the cluster that belongs in my 1983 240D (Silver Dots, and all) but is the speedo compatible???

After painting my speedo needle & inadvertenly glueing to the post; guess I ran it too long before fixing it and it's toast!

Am gonna try the EGR circuit tach mod if the speedo in this auction will work ...

I don't know if the speed-o will just screw on. However, I think the bigger question would be the speed indication, as different rear end gears had different gears in the speed-o, I think. You may or may not be able to hook up a tach. At worst, you can remove just the speedometer, and bolt into your current cluster.

This speedo is for a 300D with a 3.07 differential, so it will not be accurate in your 240D.
