w116 tranny questions(2)

I ran my vin thru Russian site and my tranny nyumber came up as 02 020182
Is this dame as the 722?
My shifting is perfect and very powerful for most hwy driving, but set a little higher than id like for country hill driving, all gears go like 10 miles higher than id like it to on the hills, for freeway its perfect.Im newbie can you guys help,my linkage on top of valve cover was tight and would stick aster i turned car on,car was stored for almost a year.
I love the 116,i want to drive it more but this super power doesnt always help me when im too high into gear on the hills.
Thanks in avance

When you're driving hills drop it to "S" instead of "D", or even "L" if you're REALLY climbing slow-speed hills.

You'll love the power, and you won't have to tweak a bunch of tranny stuff.

You might try adjusting the bellcrank linkage on top of your valve cover a few turns either way and see if you get the desired result.

No I think his problem is he doesn't want to be in 4th on the hills. By "super power" I think he probably just means high gear... at least that's how I understood it...

116 trans of mine also kicks and shifts hard, makes ye work all the gears and holds 3rd up to 55/60mph, downshifts smooth climbing hills etc. It likes to sustain engine speed at/near 3000 rpm and thats fine by me.

Thought I'd hate the automatic coming from 4-spd 240D but like responsiveness of the 116 to accelerator peddle regulating shifts. Not sure what the complaint is here.
