Will a front fender from a 300TD fit a 240TD?

On my 240TD the passenger side front fender is rusted out around the turn signal. There is a 300TD close by that is being parted out and the fender is rust free. They are the same year, will they interchange?

You don't say what year. But I would think so if it is the same Chassis.

It's a w123, so they are interchangeable. Just be careful as earlier models had the fenders "glued"

The "glued" seam is the one along the hood/fender shut line.

Careful application with a plastic wedge will eventually work it loose with minimal damage.

The book calls for heat to persuade the glue to separate (along with the wedge).

Although I have not actually done it.

Harbor Freight has a very low cost heat gun that seems adequate.

Then there is always a blow dryer....

Thanks, I thought that seam looked liked it had some sort of sealer on it from underneath. Cars are 1982, BTW, and I do have a heat gun as well as an air chisel. The 300 fender is tan so I'll paint it white before I reinstall it on the 240.

Your 240td is going to be a euro bumper... If the 300TD bumpers isnt a euro I suggest taking the time to find one, they are more sexy. All front bumpers are interchangeable, rears differ with the TD.
