We can't see if it also does this at faster RPM??

How old are the engine mounts and shocks? (or have you ever replaced them?)

I find it strange that you had to come to texas from holland to find a w123. Probably your rack dampner bolt or out of balance injectors.

May not be the rack damper bolt, make sure the injectors are working properly, and all are getting fuel.

from what i can see it looks like only the air filter housing is moving, not 100% sure but that looks like it. If this is the case then the air filter housing bracket would need to be replaced.

Its obvious that that car has a bad case of the shakes. Not just the air cleaner bracket.

anymore input on this? I did a motor swap recently. The first drive, the car idled fine. After that it has the same exact shake. Not a vibration, just a big rocking movement. It only happens when warm. Not the fuel, i checked. Not the filters, i checked. I checked my valves this afternoon and all are in adjustment. What the hell? The only thing I can think of is an injector.

I just found out from an injector rebuilder that some times the shake comes from the check valve at the top of the ip where it comes out to the steel lines.

mbonly2,

Did he tell you whether or not you could easily replace those check valves with valves from another pump?

Start with the easy stuff before you get concerned about injectors.

Most rocking, shaking, rattling, and rolling engines are due to the following:

- Needs valve adjustment
- Worn engine mounts
- Rack dampener bolt needs to be adjusted

Adjust the valves and check motor mounts before you do anything else.
