$3.66 gallon of diesel in Orlando, FL 2/24/08

Ouch--$0.50 more than regular gas. This is getting to be a real bummer.

I was looking for the thread earlier where we were recording the prices of diesel around the country, but couldn't find it. It's $3.75 in Northern Virginia now, or was yesterday. Gas prices have been going up a couple of times a day for the last week from $3.05 to $3.50 a gallon for premium. Ouch!

Price for regular gas in Metro Vancouver: $1.15 per litre
Price for diesel: $1.20 per litre

Plus the bloody provincial govt decided to ADD a CARBON TAX And get this, "to punish the less fuel efficient vehicles". So the carbon tax adds 2.4 cents to every litre of gas and 2.8 cents to every litre of diesel sold. Now that includes heating oil! Those poor buggers up North and BC interior are going to get hit hard by this nonsense tax.

Dont you worry we are rapidly approaching the 4.50 mark. It went from 3.66 here in NY over night to 3.77 is the lowest and I have seen as high as 3.99. Too bad the dollar store doesnt sell diesel.

$3.66? I paid $3.65 to fill my car up 4 days ago with 16.1 gallons. Cost: $59.06

The cheapest you can find diesel around here now is about $3.64, with the most expensive being only 3 miles from my house..... $3.75!!!!!

Gas is about $3.18, $3.28, $3.38 RUG/MID/PREM so its not exactly cheap either

We went up about 35-40 cents over what it was 1.5 weeks ago. Regular was down as low as $2.88...that was short lived.

I have no doubts we'll be well over $4 for diesel (and perhaps gas too) by late spring/into summer.

3.50 is the cheapest in my area.. its one mile from my house as well

chevron is $3.50

Sunoco(my usually cheap place) is $3.57

If chevron keeps it low.. I might make the switch (plus they are next to each other). Plus chevron has those high flow pumps, well one and the nozzle kinda fits in the filler neck. I was watching the numbers click by so fast.. sooo painful.. but it was fast

I felt bad for the guy with the RV on the other side. he pulled up to the non high flow side. I was like " I've got the fast pump.. I can already feel the pain subsiding". He gave a chuckle at that.

Until diesel cost 25% more than regular..you are still ahead of the game. It is all about energy content per gallon.
