Question IP Problem? ( '75 240D )

My "75 240D will not start. It started after much cranking for about one second a couple of times, but now will not at all. I replaced the glow plugs. My mechanic friend checked it out and says it is not getting enough fuel from the ip to injectors. He says fuel is coming out of the large filter ok. He doesn't like that I have been using biodiesel, ( I have replaced fuel lines with viton? ) and thinks either the bio has damaged the pump or maybe the primer pump is not supplying the IP with enough pressure. Any ideas would be greatly appreiciated, I certainly am not excited about the thought of replacing the IP. But just in case all else fails, anyone know where I might find one, or get rebuilt, for less than an arm and two legs? Also I have read something about oil must be changed in IP. I don't see any red knob or place for oil ("75 240D). thanks David

Are you using BioDiesel or SVO/WVO? They are not the same thing.

Need more info.
Is this a daily driver or something that has been sitting a while?
Have the fuel filters ever been changed?
Recent valve adjustment?

Time to change those filters. B99 is a good solvent, crud in the tank and lines will end up in the filters.

Filters coming tomorrow, Anyone have any thoughts about possibility that biodiesel could have swollen or otherwise damaged my ip seals? Am I supposed to put oil in IP? ('75 240D) I would like to be running biodiesel if it's safe. ... David
