Anyone know the size of the fuel tank in a 96 E300 D?

16 1/2? Are ya sure? I am pretty sure I have gotten at least 18 gallons in it before easily.

My 99 is 80L or 21.1 gals.

The 96 was smaller. Cant remember if it is 60 or 70 liters.

My owners manual states 16.4 us gallons, which includes a 2 gallon reserve.

Specs given on Edmunds list tank at 17.2 U.S. gallons

I went to the pump today and pumped in 17 gallons, guage was still reading about 1/8th of a tank. No reason to believe it is inaccurate. I will go with the 17.2. Thanks guys.

Mine lists code 915 with 70L tank which +10L reserve = 80L.

fuel tank, 70 liter (с 01.05.1988), which according to my conversion = 70.00

18.49/ no mention of a reserve however, but that looks to be about accurate. Thanks!!!
