no power TO fuses 1 & 3

lost my turn signals - '84 300SD
with the ign switch on, the respective fuses (1 & 3) have no voltage

I had the dash out and replaced the ign switch, and I jumped the inst dimmer switch. Put it back together and now have no turn signals.

suggestions ??

Check to see if the hazards work.

If they do, then replace fuse 12.

If they don't, then check to be sure the plug is firmly inserted onto the back of the hazard switch. If you had the dash removed, the plug might have been forgotten.

Report back with results.

BINGO
Thanks Brian

I had not (yet) reassembled the console, had no clue the signals went through the hazard switch.

I am looking at the fuse chart showing the list of things that the #12 fuse protects and one of the items after Cruise Control (relay is window lift Term. 86.
What/where is terminal 86 and what is its purpose?
I thought fuses a and b covered the window lift.

I have a 123 but I am still curious to know if where that terminal 86 would be locted even if it is on a 126.
The relay for my 123 is apparently behind the instrument cluster.

The electrical schematics for the W123 and the W126 are completely different. There is no relationship.
