Completely impractical on the electronic engine models.

If you want a C-Class Diesel it would be quicker and cheaper to import a C250 from europe and get it DOT and EPA certified.

What about using a 1988 602 2.5 diesel engine in a 1994 c280 body?

You would be better off buying a 190D 2.5

You have to wire up the EDS module if you want electronic idle control.
