'87 603 Flywheel inspection cover?

So when I crawl under the '87 wagon I picked up recently I am looking straight at the flywheel, adjacent to the oil pan.

There is a almost circular inspection port, say 3-4" across. What covers it?

Any pictures? Anybody have one for sale whatever "it" is?
