Bio-d sellers nearly always peg the prices of their veg-base products higher than No. 2 diesel. They're gougers. I won't touch the stuff -- until they put the consumer first.

I was going to call our local distributor about B100 today but I forgot....maybe tomorrow.

Anways, B100 here was $3.55 a gallon with a 250 gallon min order back when diesel was about $2.85....soooo....I'm guessing its at least $4.50+ for B100.

Angry That's "wholesale" robbery!

No thanks! At that price I'd stick with dino.

Like has been mentioned before, the entire process of producing B100 involves lots and lots of regular diesel....so in the end its not really a sustainable option and thats why it costs so much.

Algea based biodiesel might be an option.....lots of positive gain from the initial energy investment. It has the highest usable oil product per unit also, making it the most efficient way to produce the fuel.

here in Reno there is only one seller of bio-d. They charge $3.75/gallon for anything under 100 gallons, cheaper for more than that.

This place was always 30-40cents less a gallon than reg diesel in the past, and they are a wholsaler, not just bio, all fuels.

I bet it will never find it's way into our fuel tanks. The oil companies will make sure of that. As long as the oil companies and the us govt are in the same bed together, we'll never see any good alternatives to petro fuels in this country.

I am part of a co-op in Los Angeles, we just got B99 for $4.10/gal. And that was a steal compared to some other quotes - $4.50, $4.20. Dino-D is rising too, and 89 unleaded is pushing $4 out here too. Definitely spending more time on the scooter these days!

Rob just dropped his blend from B50 to B20, but it is still cheaper than SA White. Hopefully, he will start selling B100 again soon.

thesst-who is the seller in Reno? The only one I know of is the Bi-State in Sparks and they only sell it though the cardlock last I heard. And it is only B5 they said. I'd like to know if there is another one.

I just checked the price today. B99 at the pump is $3.55/gallon. Delivered to home, 100gallon minimum, $3.55/gallon. Average pump price today is $4.09 I'm looking into a home heating oil tank for my own fueling station..... RT
