cleaning tank before bio conversion
Im swithching my 83 300sd to run on bio. I heard about the gunk in the tank gets dissolved when you switch. I have decided to remove my fuel tank and clean it before I put the biodiesel in it. What is the best product to clean the tank and what is the process? A person suggested that RUG slohed around in the tank would do the trick.
Also I had heard that waste oil that had meat cooked in it wasnt appropriate for a straight WVO conversion. But is that oil OK if you are making bio with it and taking the animal fat out in the bio making process? |

It's not commonly done, but you can make biodiesel out of straight animal fat. The fatty acids get modified the same way as the ones from vegatable oil.
