I agree, I've had three ball joints break like this using the MB tool, and now come to think of it, they were all Meyle.

Lemforder is OEM. Furnished the parts to my front end shop a couple of years ago. I ordered Lemforder parts (LCA bushings if I recall) from one of the on-line sources and then stopped by the local stealership.
The Lemforder bushing had the MB logo burnished off. The dealer part still had the logo intact. Same part. Pretty obvious. |

I just had a set of meyle lowers pressed into my 123 at a local shop.
No reported problems. |
Meyle = 100% aftermarket!
A somewhat German company that doesn't use OR make their products there! Most made in Turkey OR China. Stick with OE quality! |

Meyle water-pumps...
I fitted a Meyle water-pump to my BMW when I first got it, The original had a plastic impeller that disintegrated...:eek:
The Meyle pump lasted only 6K miles, before the shaft snapped flush with the flange, sending the fan into the radiator!:eek: I was NOT happy! I will never use That make again!:D |
