I nice little 84 2.2 was described on Craigs list for a mere $500. .The motor was said to be locked up .Called the guy mon,made it out wed ,couldnt locate the car or the guy .Friday Im at the yard and its sitting in a row of new arrivals.The sad part of the story is the motor was not locked up ,the a/c compressor was not moving after I cut the belt .I missed out last month under the same circumstances .An owner of an 84 300 td described a steering wheel problem with a car sitting in his driveway ,he described that his wife told him it had to go ,the next week was as soon as I could come see it .It was the same story ,just alittle harder to take.The yards only give people $250 for these cars.They refuse to sell them even though they have the title.Another sad find was a very clean 83 280c ,blk on blk ,with 75k showing ,sticker on the windshield was from a towing company ,the car looking so clean I hated to even take parts off it ,kind of like the term "robbing parts" was a pretty real feeling.euro bumpers and euro lights was what I had managed to take from the car ,the interior was mint also but I was in no need at the time for it.

It's always sad to see a nice car at the junkyard.....

yea, I hate it too

I'm always finding nicer cars at the Virginia Beach Pick-N-Pull than the similar examples some of my friends drive or some of the ones other people try to sell!
By the way, that Pick-N-Pull does sell certain cars.
