manual shift rods

Does anyone know if the all alum case and iron case transmissions use the same shift rods ie 240D? I would also guess they are different coming from a 115 240D or a 123 240D, right?

One way would be to check the part numbers on EPC.

No, the iron-alum use different shift arm locations. You could probably make a set of iron rods work on the alum if you cut them right but a set of alum rods will be too short to work on an iron.

As I remember, the reverse (middle) rods are different but the others the same, I remember only shortening the one rod when I went from early to late. shoulda made a note.
