differanceof 92-93 124 td 2.5
Is there any differance between the 92-93 2.5 turbo this seems to be the best cars for milage and diy owners?

I think the 92 and 93 are almost identical. The biggest changes occurred between 91 and 92, when some of the emissions/EGR control stuff and a few interior bits were changed.
They're pretty darn easy to work on, and they get a steady 32mpg highway, sometimes more if you're not doing 80. City mileage hardly ever drops below 28.

1990-1993 are almost identical, except minor changes. The 1990-1991 models should be the same for both years, and 1992-1993 are also the same for both years. But the 90/91 have a slightly different injection pump, and engine vacuum system, than the 92/93. There's really no reason to choose one year over the other. Just look for the options you want (heated seats, ASD, headlight wipers, memory seats, leather, etc).

Mine gets....
I have a '91, I get 30 mpg around town with no a/c on, and about 35 or 36 on the hwy. I think the lowest I ever got, with a/c on, was 26, (must have been sitting in traffic quite a bit that time) but it's higher, sometimes 30 even with a/c on.
