front suspension squeak

I have noticed a squeak coming from what sound like the front wheel. it only happens during slow speed bumps. so lying under the car and pushing up or down on the bumper will recreate the noise.. DO Ball joints ever make noise when they are dry? the rubber around the ball joint looks perfect.... But what else could be doing it.. the rubber bushing on the bottom of the shock??

Common question.

If it is a dry ball-joint, it can be lubed with a good high-pressure lube, using a needle attachment for your grease gun. I prefer to use CV-Joint grease, or another good MoS2 based grease.

It can also be the control-arm bushings, or the sway-bar bushings. You can often eliminate the bushings with water because they usually won't do it wet. Spray lube is fine too when checking the bushings.

Thanks Jeff, I will try some water on the bushings, then go for the ball joint option.
