Something from the other side possessed my car yesterday...

All right, I don't really believe that, but I cannot explain this set of unrelated temporary What the???? issues.
So, I take the kids to school and return home, everything funtioning fine. I get home shut off the car and head inside to get some work done. Three hours later I go out to the car and start her for a 6 mile trip to the store- fires right up , but, alt. idiot light is on, tach not working, acc not working, - fuel gage, nope, radio nope, nothing electric working, except starter and lights- no turn signals. I shut the car off and check all fuses, etc. Look over everything, nothing amiss so far. I fire it up again and go for a short spin- won't go up hills, wont shift, still no ecectric system save the lights and starter, pull over slip it into neutral, back in D and she takes off like normal then no hills again. And she pulls hard left. I limp home to rack my brain as to how my fuel filters suddenly clogged, electric failed (alt., volt. reg?), tranny lost a bunch of fluid, vacuum pump quit, etc. and at the same time. I decide to get busy with some laundry. Two hours later. EVERYTHING is working fine again. Since, I have checked/tested every system and all checks out.:mad::eek: Maybe its time to check in with the local witch doctor?

It could be the ignition switch. This happened to me once!

I've considered that as a possibility for the electrical malfunctions- and the why is that I (left this out of the initial post) found the key was turned on these three hours it sat before being restarted. I must have turned it on to lower the rear windows since it was warm and I wanted to keep things cool as i knew I was going out again in a few hours and forgot to turn it off (got a call when I was lowering them).OK, but why did I lose uphill and shifting ability so suddenly? Its a mystery to me how these unrelated systems failed briefly. Everything is still functioning today

And I had not touched a thing prior to everything working again, except to check the systems- didn't change or R/R anything...
