83 300CD - 1500RPM tick-tick-tick
I just noticed a ticking noise from the engine. It sounds similar to an exhaust leak, or possibly a valve tick. It's easiest to hear when listening to the passenger side of the engine behind the air cleaner. Starts at about 1500RPMs and then speeds up and gets louder as you further rev the engine.
Any ideas?

Probably lost one of your bushing pieces that hold the air cleaner .Its a 10mm piece with 2 bolts on both ends and a bushing in between ,keeps the vibration noise of the air cleaner from being undetectable,WHEN THEY GO THEIR VERY LOUD.AROUND $2 A PIECE
