Headlight Upgrade: IPF or Cibie?
Has anyone done a side-by-side comparison of IPF and Cibie 7" round H4 headlights?

What's an IPF? And what do you mean by side-by-side? (lit?)
I have one Cibie 7" (junkyard find- why couldn't there have been 2?) And several sets of the Indian-made Autopals (not so great). Also have a set of 5" Cibies on my W116 (they rock)

$59 for a pair of H4 7" roundies?
Daniel Stern Lighting sells the Cibies for that much per side! What other sites sell the Cibie? I have Hella 7" H4's on mine now, love them. Got them at Rally Lights too. I wonder why the IPF's are so cheap?

Back when I had DOT headlamps, I was interested in just this sort of thing. Hella made a glass DOT-approved lamp, and a lexan non-approved lamp. The lexan lamp had a very noticeably better pattern and light output. The price was the same, about $45 each.
