What's the name of the part that goes under the engine?

There's the big "belly pan" or whatever it's called, that goes underneath the engine, keeps rainwater from getting on the electrical components, helps with air flow, etc. Mine is toast.

Thanks,

Jeff 1991 300d, 120k

Sound panel
front 124 520 95 23
rear 124 520 31 24

I believe they are quite pricey.

Good one. I was thinking " a road" for those of us who haven't replaced those encapsulation panels (and don't plan to)

Pretty sure I've got one for a W124. Could check the part number if you are interested. Is ~30" x 36" and not inexpensive to UPS.

On my 300SD....

It is the factory "crash" bar or tray for want of a better word. Skid tray. Metal, not plastic. Heard they are not available anymore.

Regards

I think there may be a different panel for the OM602 and the OM603.

I'm pretty sure he's asking about the sound encapsulation panel. They are often referred to as belly pans.

Yikes, I wasn't trying to offend anyone. Just sharing information.

Dave has the pictures and part numbers on his site.

It looks like the one for the OM603 has some vents and the OM602 doesn't.

Yes that one could be different too. It looks like the general shape is the same. You should be able to sell it. People are usually looking for those. I just bought a set from Dave for my wagon. Do you just have the front one?
