617 in the Land Rover. Buttoned up and running
It's been a while since I've posted...Been working pretty hard on this engine conversion. Thought I'd post a picture of the engine compartment. All together for the most part and running and driving under its own power. I'm pretty excited about how it's coming out.

Awesome work - it looks great. Do you think this will make the Rover more suited for highway driving? All that torque should make it a beast off-road.

Really looks like a factory install, good job. There was a busted knuckle in there somewhere.
Jay Clicked the link and the adapter is 700.00. Wow, that's some R&D surcharge there. |
Yes, truly a professional job.
I will be glad to hear of the results. Tom W |
Curious why you have the MB pusher fan? Is this the primary or aux cooling fan? For better off road cooling?

Very well done.
I thought you did this a few years back or did you re do it? |

[QUOTE=MercedesRover;1838667]I built a short-wheel base truck with an OM616 engine in it about 7 years ago. Still running strong.
I see that now in your web site, very nice. |
