W123 door and trunk tumblers are simple to rebuild. go to a pick and pull, and get three or four tumblers from various cars. pull yours out and look over the numbers on the leaves. find matching leaves on other tumblers and reassemble. funn funn funn.

same issue same door on my '83 300D. My problem was vac related. I put my mityvac on the line and applied pressure to push the lock mechanism up, my linkage came undone so pulling up on the lock didn't help. I had a leaking vac pot for the door lock and it needed excessive pressure to open it.

Are you serious? Would that apply to a W107, too? or just to W123s? How many leaves does one tumbler have? How much wood would a wood chuck chuck . . . .
