AC help - 87 300D
Its blowing warm again...bubbles in site glass.
I added some ES12A and the low side went to 45 psi but still bubbles and its luke warm (maybe a little colder but not much). Site glass went from obvious bubbles to a white milky foam. Since its already at 45 psi I hate to add more ES12A. Perhaps theres air in the lines somewhere and a good vacuum/recharge would do it? Guessing its time to open the wallet and visit my AC man. 1 weird thing is as I rev the engine with AC on, the compressor never disengages, and the low side pressure goes to almost 0. At idle, low side jumps back to 45. Wish I could read the high side but my conversion port wont fit it. Last time I took it to the AC guy I paid $150 for a freeze 12 charge and it blew cold/semi cold for 1.5 yrs. Guess thats better than me dorking around with something Im obviously clueless about and wasting money on ES12A cans. Some day I will understand refrigeration systems...probably when I actually invest in decent gauges and ports. Stupid thing is I think the leak is happening right at the low side service port, and thats a new MB line. When you take the service port cap off you can hear it hissing a little.

"Angel's Breath"
Two Phrases:
Re-convert back to R-12 (It ALWAYS blows colder) Parallel Flow Condenser ('Almost able to make Ice Cubes in the Passenger cabin.)

yeah i know R12 is colder but the ES12A they put in couple yrs back blew cold enough. Dont feel like the hassle of getting R12, dont wana pay the $ either. The system leaks a little from somewhere so I have to keep putting more in. That gets $$ with R12, not to mention the environmental impact. IF I could ever find the leak and fix it maybe R12 would be worth it for me.
