Pinstriping on W123/300td wagon

Hello Everyone,

For all the w123 owners out there, how many of you have pinstripes and what color combination do you have?

I have a white wagon with a blue interior. It has brown pinstripes? lol. I peeled a little of the brown pinstripes back and saw some blue stripes.

Is a white wagon with a blue interior supposed to have blue or brown pinstripes from the factory?

On my sedan w123, its brown with a light tan pinstripe.

have an anthracice grey w123 sedan with somewhat of a gold-ish pinstripe

Whenever I get the car repainted I am having a proper pinstripe done by hand since I know a guy that still does the old school line work.

It is common to pinstripe in the color of the interior.

No W123--or any other Mercedes I'm aware of--came from the factory with pinstripes.

This is a typical dealer add-on or perhaps the PO just had poor taste.

It seems like most w123's I see has a pinstripe. I guess if it was a dealer option, it was pretty popular back in the day

I've never seen a W123 with a pinstripe. And I've seen quite a few. Dealer add on is likely, and maybe folks down here didn't like 'em......

I seen several with pinstripes. It looks okay but it also looks a tad out of place.

Removed my pinstripe about a week ago and I love the look without it. Just my opinion but I think it looks much classier without it. 25 years and no fade, can't tell it was there.

I removed the worn, gold pinstripes off my wagon. I originally was going to break out my sword and dagger, but I think the w123s look complete/finished without stripes.

I don't think any 123 I have owned came without the stripes....maybe my Euro 280e. I'll have to look.

They look good with or without to me.

I don't know if pinstriping was optional or not.
I've owned 7 123s. All had pinstriping.
The only ones that I've seen without pinstriping had been repainted.
