Door lock dilemma
 

Hello all,

I replaced my drivers side door handle with the handle and lock from another model 126 (1986 I think). Previously, when I unlocked any door on my '85, everything else would unlock, but it seems with the new handle and lock if I turn the key once it unlocks the driver's door only, then if i turn twice and hold, everything unlocks. I removed and reinstalled lots of times to make sure I didnt mess anything up, but I am baffled.

My car is an '85 300SD, and I think the donor car was an '86. If it helps, I know the wiring boot that runs between the body and the door was two smaller rubber tubes instead of one big one like the '85. Prior to this, all the lock were working flawlessly. Thanks for the help!
