Timing Chain make-Any good-?
I'm restoring a OM-617, which needs new pistons and all the usual. I have acquired a Timing-Chain, made by the American Co. 'Morse'...
The OEM for the M.B. chains was a Co called 'IWIS'.... Are these Morse chains OK, and does anyone know of them/used them....?

There was a thread comparing a asian made chain and a german chain. The german chain showed no flaws unlike the asian version.

Compare the Morse chain to the one that is already on the engine. If it dose not physicaly look as strong (pin, rollers and links at least as thick) decide fron there.
