Where is the ALDA in 1982 300D?

I have read many posts concerning the ALDA, where is it located? What is its function? How/When should it be adjusted? Thanks!

where is it located? On top of the injection pump. 13 in the picture.

What is its function? Altitude compensation and preventing black smoke when there is too little boost pressure to burn all the fuel.

When should it be adjusted? Last, after everything else is in top condition and adjusted correctly.
