parts compatibility- seats?
Will seats from an 87 300 E bolt directly into a 300 D? Might the inner stuffing last better than the 300D seats? (brings a whole new meaning to bucket seats with the collapsed horsehair)

If the 300D is a 124, yes. I think it depends on how much they have been set in and how big the driver was.
