350 sdl
I am looking at buying a 91 350 SDL that recieved a new factory motor in 2000. I am told that the new motor does not have the "rod bending" issues of the old. Is true? Otherwise, are there any other issues to lookout for?

I would not assume that the new block would necessarily not bend a rod.

As long as they used the updated connectiong rods, then they should not bend.

Personally I would not trust that "rule".
I am pretty sure that several folks have posted here with factory replacement blocks with bent rods. Tom W

You should buy one.
