Need W123 front springs

I got a little too "adventurous" with my spring cutting this morning and took one too many coils off... Anybody have an extra set of OEM W123 fronts? It's a 300D if it matters.

OOPS! Thanks for your help today! You might try TriStar parts at 2544 west Broadway in Phoenix. I'd bet they'll have them. 602-323-9981

I took it for a few mile drive over speed bumps, emergency stops, u-turns and it didn't complain once. But as I was pulling into my driveway I noticed that the loaded front tire was about 1/2" away from the fender lip when nearly fully turned. So I can see a few circumstances where I might rub. I think it looks a bit too low anyway, my days of tucking tire are past but I just want to get rid of that horrible wheel gap.

How many coils did you cut?
You can have my coils from the CD (I put in vogtlands) but I doubt you wanna ship from Alberta, you may find what you need closer to home.

I have a set - I also put in a set of Vogtlands. PM with interest.

You cut 1 1/2 off the rear after I left? So is the rear out of whack too or are you satisfied there and just looking for the front? Like I said, I have one good rear spring you can have!:D

I got my second wind after a nice long nap. The rear is good I think...

The rears look ok, but I do think the front is a little low. Maybe try taking an equal amount off the front like you did in the rear? What was that 1 1/2 turns of spring?

I hope you got Bilstein HDs at least :)

Comforts... I had a bad experience with HD's in a past BMW, way too harsh for my tastes. We'll see how these hold up I guess.

Wow -- that looks great! On my 300td, I cut off one front coil and used the thinnest pads to get rid of the "4WD truck look" and it's still a bit high for my taste, but at least there's a bit of a rake.

It looks good the way it sits and especially the wheels. what are they? CLK 16in?
I can see a rubbing issue and a bottoming out issue.

I have a bottoming out issue if I have people in the back seat sometimes. usually it is when Iam crossing a dip or going into a parking lot off the street. usually it is the pan the spare sits in. might be the springs.

Well that was a lot cheaper than the Vogtlands, but the Vogtlands reeeeally improved the body roll, and greatly reduced the way it used to squat down at the back when I accelerated hard. I would do the Vogtlands again if I had to start all over. However until there is enough demand for another group buy what you have done looks really nice. I am curious how it affects handling bodyroll etc. but am no where near curious enough to cut my old coils and switch back and forth with the Vogtlands just to compare!
