Removing Water pump pulley

Is there anyway of removing the waterpump pulley without the special tools on 1986 300SDL?

I have a leaking waterpump and need to get the pulley off the to remove the water pump.

I just used an allen wrench that fits the hole in the pulley flange from the backside. There should be some notches in the waterpump that the allen wrench will lock against.
