lower alternator bolt broke and stuck in bracket

fig.1 Full length bolt compared to sheared off bolt gives an idea of how much bolt remains stuck in main support bracket

fig.2 Main support bracket marked to show bolt location and shear site.

Would this be a candidate for drilling out if there's space for a drill between bracket and radiator after removal of fan & shroud? any better ideas besides PITA removal of everything to get to the hidden 5th bolt holding bracket to block?

Remove the radiator and AC condenser

I had a bear of a time with my alternator bolts also when I did mine a month ago. I sprayed PB Blaster on all the bolts and kept turning them and heating with the propane torch for 2 days hoping to not have to remove the radiator, but none of that worked. The bolts/housings just have a lot of corrosion after 25+ years. In the end I had to take the radiator and AC condenser out (which really only takes 1/2 hour) and then I had enough room to get the right tools in there.
