lol.....thats southern Md. for you. Typical of local dialect. Play the video if you haven't already and you'll actually hear/see those words being spoken.

Oh GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely sorry for the loss of life and injury to another person, health &/or lives can't be replaced, but look out. Another excuse for big oil to raise prices. There was a "petroleum products" spill less than 2 months ago that forced an increase of retail prices of oil. Amount of the spill was less than 10 gallons. Course it could have been where the oil was spilled. Maybe it was in the "lobby" to the US Congress.

Regards

That's Eastern Shore Maryland, not Southern Maryland.

Had it been Southern Maryland, you wouldn't have understood it at all :D

I was walking down the boardwalk in Santa Cruz, Ca. when this guy grabs my arm and says "Hey, you're from the Chesapeake Bay area!". Asked him how he knew that. He laughed and said " Only place in the world where they say worter".:D

If a local I bet the guy was either wearing tie-dye or a hari krishna outfit. Liberals live in Berkeley; the radical liberals all moved to Scots Vly, Ben Lomond and Santa Cruz areas long ago....:D Gotta love it, keeps life interesting.

One place... always the same and always good... Harrisons out on Tilghmans Island. I have to go there at least once every time I come up. Nothing ever changes out there. It's like time stood still and takes me back to a boy of 12 hunting Geese and Ducks on the Miles river near there.

Now there's a place where nobody from the "outside" can understand what the locals are saying!! Island lingo is completely different than mainland lingo for sure.

Been there to eat many times. Most recently just last Wed.

cphilip 05-19-2008 10:43 PM

Man I wish I coulda gone with ya.

Two nice big ole Lump meat crab cakes, mash potatoes and gravy... that slightly sweet brown sugared stewed tomato thing they do.... and particularly if they go those big sweet lima beans...

I haven't been back up there since my Father died a couple years back. He was back in Easton at the time, where he grew up. My mother is still up there as well as my last remaining Uncle. He lives in Easton still but makes the trip out to Harrisons every chance he can get someone to drive, he'll buy! He dearly loves their Crab cakes too. Don't know if your familiar with the Easton people but he a retired professor out of SMU and returned there. Kenneth Carroll is his name. We Carrolls were famous (and perhaps should be Infamous) from that area.

Make ya wanna slap yo momma! :D
