Air Conditioning filters
How many filters does a 1999 e300td have? I know that there is the charcoal filter, but there is another filter under the hood that i think might have something to do with the a/c system. It is very dirty. Where can I get a replacement?

I don't know about a filter under the hood. The pollen filter is accessible from the interior of the car, after you remove the glove box. There are a pair of elements in there.

2 cabin filters are behind the glovebox and the charcoal filter is above the passenger foot well. The former are cheap, the latter expensive.
The only filter in the engine compartment is the air filter ~8" x 14" x 2". |
