86 190D tune up
I picked up a 190D with 395k on it, starts with some help of stepping on the pedal and clacks real loud like nozzles are due for replacing.
Where can I get a better then OEM set of nozzles if possible for this car and or what other nozzles will fit into it? (i have no problem using parts for "other" cars on mine) I am a newbie to this site but not diesel cars and definately not a stranger to shade tree tuning :D I plan to adjust the valves, nozzles, normal tune-up stuff and maybe add some more fuel. I don't know how to turn it up on a benz? It is very clean and barely smokes at all with these worn out injectors. This car is awesome, once I fix the front end (accident) the AC is still nice and cold with R12 and everything power works except the passenger window! The interior is freaking sweet, looks like it was very very well taken care of and possibly garaged. Much thanks in advance |
1. The engine has hydraulic lifters, no valve adjustments needed
2. Not a good idea to mess with full load fuel adjustment on a MB, will only cause smoke and issues. 3. It likely just needs new injector nozzles |

I like smoke though, for those "special" people. Got a good place to get nozzles, like a supporting vendor to the site or something? Any nozzles to stay away from? |
Search this site for Bosio and Monark nozzles; there is a lot of good information here. Also, I think C.Sean Watts (on this site) sells Monark nozzles. Search him out on the members list and send him a pm. I am not sure what his website url is.
