I found a 85 300d turbo diesel was told that shifts slower than normal.
Was told maybe the module for the shifting is bad? where is it? is this possible?

Also what year to year are the transmissions interchangable? and does it have to be another turbo car?

Shift points are controlled by the bowden cable, which is easily adjusted. For later shifting you want to adjust the cable out.
