Ok so a good old member of this site was going to sell me a set of w123 european Bosch headlight set,he was a purist and i say was for he has since pased away sad to report,but he was sure that there are specific wagon euro headlight set,is this so? any experts care to explain,i have a very nice 123 td wagon id like to get it some bosch or hrla lights but would not want to buy the sedan version if theres a wagon version out.
By the way anybody own such a set please pm me as im interested in a set.

There are only three headlight versions on the W123.

USA
Round euro
Square euro

All three are 100% interchangeable and there is no difference between the sedan and wagon.

Except that the reflectors are different - there are right-hand-drive headlights and left-hand-drive headlights.

And it's VERY important to obtain a left hand drive set up because of how the beam patterns are thrown on the road.

The right hand drive ones are different and not at all good for U.S. roads

IIRC you can convert RH drive Euros to LH by swapping the lenses. Euro parts direct has Bosch Headlight lenses listed. They are $55 a piece now. I do not know if FastLane carries them now or not. When I bought mine, they did not.

There are also "french" euros with amber headlights I believe.

If you want amber you can always get amber H4s. I know VW dealers can get them for like $10 each, I haven't checked ********.
