Installed clutch fan in 1983 240D.

Works great! I purchased a fan and clutch (from a 300D) from a member and with the exception of shorter bolts, nothing was needed. I wanted skinny arms and 6-inch fingers to start the bolts but the shroud worked and it's running fine.
Slightly less noise at idle and inconclusive at highway speed but it has to be more efficient or they wouldn't use them. I can't honestly say that I feel a power difference but that solid fan has got to take a few hp to drive at 3000 rpm and these engines don't have any to spare.
