Need info on proper lubrication for sunroof

My wife's sunroof is starting to hesitate and sometimes stick about half to 3/4's of the way closed. I know this is a simple fix, but I'd like to hear it from some of you who have already done it the right way before I get into it the first time. Any suggestions about cleaning, what type and how much lube would be a big help. Thanks! Lee

Only use the grease MB supplies for the sunroof. Contact Phil through the Fastlane link, I think he sells it in 1oz packages.

As mentioned before, grease should be used - for the cable. I find, however, that sylicone spray is best for the slide rails. This area can pick up dirt easily and grease attracts dirt much more than sylicone.

Silicone is great for the antenna, but the MB grease is supposed to be best for the sunroof.

There is "Sill Glide" from NAPA that is supposed to be an acceptable substitute, but I'd go with the MB if I could.
