My Condenser...HAS A HOLE!!!
So yesterday i did a leak test and, apperenly its has a small hole on one of those loops (see attachment), I dont wish to pay $270+ Dollars and not to mention SHIPPING $$$ , anyways is it possable to weld it...or am i going to break the bank...

I would recommend against attempting to weld it. The chance of getting something inside that won't flush out right away is very high.
I am replacing my condenser today, and it doesn't even leak. But mine is a parallel-flow condenser and those are very hard to flush. With the time required for a good flushing plus some expensive flushing fluid, plus time to clean the airway, I'm better off with a new one. Most online parts places don't charge shipping for orders over $50 or $100. |
Good grief! Shop around, find a new condenser and order the thing! They aren't that expensive and as stated, shipping usually free on orders such as that one.
Try ACkits.com. Several folks have purchased condensers there and are happy..... |
As long as you have to replace it, just up grade to a parrell flow much more efficient. especially if you are going to go R-134.
This is also on my todo list, lucky me my Bro. in law is a refrigeration expert and I get to have his expert advice and help. This way we get it right. Charlie |
