I think I killed my car?

I am so tired today, I tried everything, but it doesn't help. I tried starting my car today, and then I found out that I was driving my car with empty engine oil (almost empty. So I added 3 bottles of oil, tried starting it, and everything and it seems like it will never start, what can I possibly do?

When did it last run? Did you shut it off or did it shut itself off?

Will try to help

You know guy, you could help yourself a bit by being a little more Forum friendly. Like at least telling us what the heck kind of car you are complaining about. We assume that it is a Benz, but we don't know, AND WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW! I know in some cases it doesn't make much difference, but we are kind of a Club. Easy to join, good information is often available, but why not tell us in your signature, WHAT KIND OF A BENZ IS IT? IS THAT TOO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!.
Now to the problem. So you ran it out of oil. You added three "bottles" Don't they sell it in quarts. They most certainly used to. Again, you get better results when we get the right POOP! AGAIN, THAT IS POOP!
Back to the problem. Did the three bottles bring the crankcase oil level to the approximate level? That would be helpful to know. If you actually ran the vehicle "totally" out of oil, that engine is probably toast and will not start. Now if you will fill in some of the details, as to just what happened to this magnificient piece of automotive manufactory, we will try our best to give you satisfactory answers.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed. This is about the most angry post I've read that was unprovoked.

this is his last post prior to this one, so he may be talking about the same car mentioned in the link below. From his other posts it seems he may not have that much experience and just needs some easy to follow directions.

This one's in the running - http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showpost.php?p=1293465&postcount=3

To Junqueyardjim's point, please be more specific about how it seems like it will never start - won't crank or turn over? cranks but doesn't catch? catches but won't idle or stay running?

"seems like it will never start"
From this we can guess all day long, I will guess that it is turning over, and just not starting?
If so, do you get a cycle of the glow plug light on the dash? and wait for 15 seconds before trting to start? Also charge up the battery, these cars take a lot of power to start, and if the battery is low, it may just spin, and not start.
"crotchety"ness (my favorite term for the week) asside, the members here are great! and would love to help you!
More input!

Thankyou Benzman!

I was thinking along those same lines, but couldn't come up with the right words. Thanks

You know i have not been on this forum for that long, but it seems like the quality of people has declined drastically. Why get so butt hurt when someone makes a very general post?

You know what?

A lot of you smart foxes have labeled me a bad dude, yet very few have given this Forum member the benefit of your knowledge and experience. Does this speak to your ignorance or his? I really tried with my post to awaken the writer to write a worthwhile thread. It seems to me, that as when talking to a service writer or a parts man , make and model is the first thing necessary. Without basic car/model information nothing is going to get done. I really wish the Forum Management would insist that registration would include that, make and model. It doesn't have to be a Benz. I know some service questions can be fielded without make and model, but lets get into the real world and make it a must have!

That's great. But let's not scare him away while doing so.
